Matthäus-Passion d’Edgar Sarin, présentée à la Fondation CAB, réunit ses œuvres récentes avec celles de figures majeures de l’art contemporain et moderne. Inspirée de la structure polyphonique de Bach, l’exposition met en dialogue des œuvres autonomes dans un même espace de tension et d’échange. Chaque pièce est présentée sur un chevalet-sculpture conçu par l’artiste, créant une véritable mise en scène des œuvres. L’exposition explore les notions de présence, de confrontation et de coexistence entre les formes. Elle propose une expérience physique et sensible où l’histoire de l’art devient une matière vivante et active.
Quentin Lefranc’s practice brings together drawing, sculpture, writing and video. His work often begins with gestures, movements and walks, exploring the relationship between the body, space and time. Architecture plays an important role in his practice, serving as a framework and a territory for works that are shaped in dialogue with their surroundings.
During his residency at Fondation CAB, Lefranc will present Floor Drawing, a video work that extends his interest in walking and drawing through movement. The work reflects on the lines traced by the body as it moves through space, blurring the boundaries between drawing, performance and the site itself.
Fondation CAB Brussels welcomes filmmaker Joachim Olender for a screening of “la collection qui n’existait pas” (2014).
The film traces Belgian collector Herman Daled’s journey and the story of his collection of conceptual art, acquired by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York in 2011. Through Daled’s story, Joachim Olender explores the relationship between a collector, an artistic movement and the ideas that shaped conceptual art in the second half of the 20th century.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Joachim Olender.

Reflecting Bonnet’s passion for minimal art and his personal art collection, Fondation CAB Brussels and St-Paul-de-Vence draws inspiration from the Constructivist period to the present day seeking to show work by artists who share a distinct practice and aesthetic. In Brussels the program is composed of two core exhibitions a year: one major curated exhibition of minimal art featuring internationally renowned artists, and one exhibition of minimal art-inspired works by young contemporary artists, including special commissions as well as in-situ installations. In addition Fondation CAB hosts a series of special projects, inviting targeted initiatives from galleries, museums, curators and artists worldwide conceived in accordance with its mission.
The Fondation CAB Saint-Paul-de-Vence, set up in a stunning 1950s building, aims to further the foundation’s mission with a double programming: the presentation of the foundation’s collection and themed and seasonal exhibitions. It will also offer a programme of artist residencies for the winter season.
