One line can erase a body. Another can bring one into being. Drawing becomes a space of transformation. In ANAHITA JUDAKI’s work, the body turns into graphic matter; in ASTRID KÖPPE’s, the line gives rise to forms suspended between organism and structure. One dissolves the image, while the other allows it to emerge. Through distinct gestures and materials, the two artists explore the shifting relationship between image, matter and form. In Judaki’s work, the body dissolves into rhythms and tensions; in Köppe’s, the line generates forms that oscillate between structure and organism. The image is no longer represented: it becomes matter.

LAGE EGAL curatorial projects is an independent gallery and curatorial platform founded by artist–curator Pierre Granoux and established in the early 2020s from a decade of self–organized and nomadic curatorial practice. Its name, meaning location doesn’t matter, reflects a commitment to working beyond fixed geographic boundaries. Operating between Berlin and Brussels, LAGE EGAL develops exhibitions, curatorial projects, and collaborations shaped by close dialogue with artists and their practices.
