Adrien Vescovi
Start 04 Sep 2025
End 18 Oct 2025

Adrien Vescovi lives and works in Marseille since 2017, after a long practice installed in the mountains of Haute-Savoie.The artist reinvests with contemporary issues the question of the free canvas and a painting thought at an architectural and natural scale. For Vescovi the context in which he installs his works is an essential element to his practise. Adrien composes temporalities, assembles colours produced according to different alchemical processes, from air (sun and moon rays), earth (ochres and plants) and fire (cooking, infusions). His way of sewing is a way of painting. Chance is his ally. Born in 1981 and graduated from the École supérieure d’art de l’agglomération d’Annecy, Vescovi has participated in exhibitions in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Mexico. Vescovi’s works are included in the collections of the Centre National des Arts Plastiques, the MAMAC de Nice, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nantes, the Frac PACA and the Fond Communal d’Art Contemporain de la ville de Marseille. In 2023 Vescovi exhibited at the Casino du Luxembourg “Jours de lenteur”, and the Yvon Lambert bookstore. In 2024 Vescovi worked on an installation for the press dinner at Chateau Borely during the Chanel cruise 2024/25 in Marseille while starting to work with Sorry We’re Closed. He also participated in a group show “Être Méditerranée” at MOCO in Montpelier and a solo at Collection Lambert in Avignon.
