Inside the Law
Jorge Méndez Blake
Start 04 Sep 2025
End 31 Oct 2025

Jorge Méndez Blake (°1974, Mexico) is a conceptual artist and trained architect whose work bridges literature and architecture. He creates associations between these different disciplines to question history and the notion of fiction. Known for transforming texts into physical structures, he explores how language shapes space—often building walls, towers, and installations around single books. By treating books as both symbols and building blocks, Méndez Blake invites viewers to reconsider the role of storytelling in shaping our environments. His internationally exhibited work challenges the boundary between reading and constructing, between words and form.
